The Creative Blogger Award

I feel extremely honoured to be nominated for the Creative Blogger Award & would like to thank La Audacia de Aquiles for this nomination :D. You have made my day! This sure is a pleasant surprise!

La Audacia de Aquiles brings to life mythology with such ease. This blog is a must visit for the sheer attention to detail and research that has gone in for every post.

I started blogging in April this year and it was probably the best thing I have done! In the process of blogging I was able to re-kindle my love for art, poetry & writing. I’m inspired & happy to meet gorgeous people from across the globe. I did have a writer’s block in the beginning. It was hard to get started but, you know what…I just kept at it and what you see in my blog is a result of my persistence. πŸ™‚

I’ve decided to share a few things about me, with you; what I like; what I’m passionate about; what I’m good at… !

Thank you La Audacia de Aquiles for nominating me for The Creative Blogger Award!

Please accept my nomination for The Creative Blogger Award. Write about yourself if you prefer or ignore me completely πŸ™‚ But, I would like you to know that I admire your work and what you share with our WordPress community.

The Fiery Fall

The Fiery Falls

The Fiery Fall

Flow, flow, I say!

Let the water rush!

Let it gush!

Rage away!

Trash the harsh stones.

Shape them like they are your own.

Surge though the crevasses.

Nudge the passes.

Purge the furrow.

Run like there is no tomorrow.

Today is your day.

Leave the fears at bay.

Leap over the horizon.

Like a soul reborn.

The Water Maiden

The Water Maiden

The Water Maiden

Somewhere,

In the depth of the night,

When the stars were at sight,

When the moon shone bright,

And fought with darkness with all her might!

When the ocean was no more a fright,

When the waves caressed the shore,

ready to be his bride.

When nature sang her lullaby,

There arose a maiden,

slow & steady yet elegantly.

Her garb was like white fire,

flickering gently in tune with the breeze.

Her hair shone like a thousand suns.

She gild over the ocean graciously,

twisting and turning effortlessly,

to nature’s melody,

forming bright lit waves exquisitely.

All stood still in awe of her beauty

A true vision she was, in all clarity

She is unseen by many

Granting audience is a rarity

But she is a part of nature you see

Connect with nature

And she’ll make you privy

Let The Day Begin

Let The Day Begin

Let The Day Begin

β€œWrite it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson, Collected Poems and Translations

Reflections from within

Reflections from within

I’ve reached a 100 followers and that was possible just because of YOU!

Your constant feedback & encouragement is valuable.

In my deepest, darkest, happiest, solemn, reflective moments, what really got me through was my art.

I have discovered is that intimate connection and communication within me and with God has helped me said through the ups & downs in life.

I pray that I am able to translate all that is in my head visually & that my art flowers by and by.

Thank you so much for all you do;
I’m truly inspired;
When my life overwhelms and does me in,
You make everything seem all right πŸ™‚

Out In The Wilderness

Out in the Wilderness copy

Have you wandered in the wilderness, the sagebrush desolation,
The bunch-grass levels where the cattle graze?
Have you whistled bits of rag-time at the end of all creation,
And learned to know the desert’s little ways?
Have you camped upon the foothills, have you galloped o’er the ranges,
Have you roamed the arid sun-lands through and through?
Have you chummed up with the mesa? Do you know its moods and changes?
Then listen to the Wild — it’s calling you.

– An except from the poem The Call Of The Wild – Poem by Robert William
